In this episode, I head off into the hills around Chefchaoun, Morocco where I hunt for marijuana (hashish) farms as well as check out the rock climbing potential in the area. It was kind of a hit and miss experience, as it seemed more of a tourist stop so I passed on the experience, which I regret a bit now since I bargained the tout down to 10 euros. If you really want to see a farm, pick a season (not spring) when the crops are growing and arrange with someone to drive out of town. In my previous episode, I actually arranged it though the “tour guides” started raising several red flags, and I bailed.
I’ve GPS’d my trails below if you ever feel like looking for yourself, though I believe the more authentic farms are further out of town.
