Cooking Seafood In The Philippines | CHEAP $10 FEAST

In a previous episode, I went on a seafood buying binge at the Tagbilaran morning fish market, picking up soft-shelled crabs, sea grapes, swordfish, tuna, and some veggies. After a day of waterfall hopping, I’m back at home to cook up a feast with my host. And best of all, I spent less than $10 Canadian ($7.50 USD) for the entire feast.

Here are the ingredients/recipes:

Ensaladang lato (sea grape salad) – chopped tomatoes, garlic, onions, and Filipino vinegar

Ensaladang guso (seaweed salad) – same recipe as above, but the seaweed needs to be boiled first

Crab with Tangy Coconut Tomato sauce – coconut milk, tomato paste, Filipino crabs

Spicy Swordfish soup – kamunggay (horseradishe tree) leaves, napa cabbage, chopped tomatoes, chopped chillies, onions

Grilled Tuna – tuna, salt
