Cebu city is full of contrasts with new condo developments dotted with slums and shacks. On a random whim, I visit some children living in shacks near me and ask if they want anything.
One thing I noticed later is that new Western toys like Hot Wheels actually cost a bit more in the Philippines than here. I think a good idea is to buy a bunch of new condition toys on a buy/sell website and bring them to the Philippines.
