The “I Will Live Today” Poem

I will not say “perhaps, one day…”

I will not put my dreams on delay.

I will not concern myself with what others say.

I will not retreat today.

I will not languish in the past

or concern myself with events yet to pass.

I will not condemn myself to meaningless tasks.

I will not let the joy of this moment pass.

For in this moment, many lives will pass

and the breath some take will be their last.

I will free myself from my self-constructed prison.

I will summon from within myself courage and determination.

I will abandon fear, worry, and hate

and focus my energy on what I can create.

I will take action, I will act fast.

I will live today as if it were my last.

Poetry is not one of my stronger points, but I wrote the above from the heart.  If you have some lines you’d like to add, please feel free to append!

Awesome poem. I think everyone should read what you write and everyone should have a share of your hints.
I truly love how you changed my life into something better.
From being a computer-sitting-nerd, to be a successfull diver. I will complete my diver-cert in about 2 weeks and then start for next course for higher ranks directly, and honestly, you helped me alot to get started by, mostly, The Sunscreen song. And you still inspire me with your adventures. You’re kind of an idol to me.
    Thanks alot,
